The choice is clear: Congress will vote to protect Dreamers or they’ll vote to fund their deportation. Ending DACA without a permanent legislative solution in place will have devastating consequences for our communities and our economy:
• An average of 1,700 DACA recipients will lose their jobs between March and November of 2018
• Every single Dreamer will be subject to immediate deportation, often to countries they cannot even remember.
• It will cost the U.S. economy $460.3 billion over the next decade.
Congress must take decisive action to prevent 800,000 Dreamers from being fired from their jobs, ripped out of classrooms, and deported to countries they don’t know. Inaction is unacceptable.
